Franklin Rodríguez, propietario de Kelly’s Automotive Deltona, nació en humildes comienzos en Puerto Rico. Su madre fue alguien a quien adoró y admiró durante toda su infancia, desempeñando los roles de madre y padre en su vida. Admiraba su fortaleza mientras hacía innumerables sacrificios para proveerle, aunque su infancia no fue fácil, ya que vivían en la pobreza y su madre luchaba significativamente para salir adelante. Su tío fue su modelo a seguir, su héroe, el ejemplo masculino en su vida que lo impulsó a alcanzar el éxito. Franklin recuerda cómo su tío lo tomó bajo su protección y le enseñó todo lo que sabía sobre mecánica desde muy joven. De hecho, Franklin tenía solo 8 años cuando completó su primer trabajo automotriz, por supuesto, junto a su tío.
Franklin conoció a su esposa, Yoliana, durante su adolescencia. Yoliana también nació en Puerto Rico, pero vivió en Nueva York los primeros 15 años de su vida. Fue después de regresar a Puerto Rico, a los 15 años, cuando conoció a Franklin en un partido de béisbol. Ese día, Franklin no solo conectó una conversación con Yoliana, ¡también bateó un jonrón! Se enamoraron profundamente, se casaron poco tiempo después, y 26 años más tarde su matrimonio sigue siendo fuerte, con dos hijos increíbles: una hija y un hijo, de 25 y 19 años. Se mudaron a Ohio y luego a Orlando, donde trabajaron arduamente juntos para construir una vida llena de amor y felicidad. Juntos, superaron muchos obstáculos y desafíos, pero se mantuvieron firmes como familia, construyendo su base con Dios en el centro. Hoy en día, su arduo trabajo ha dado frutos, y son propietarios de dos negocios en Deltona, un lugar donde pasan gran parte de su tiempo y llaman hogar.
El sueño de Franklin de tener algún día su propio taller automotriz se hizo realidad después de que la empresa para la que trabajaba fuera vendida a otra compañía en Jacksonville. Poco después, un amigo de confianza que conocía la vasta experiencia de Franklin en la industria automotriz lo animó a invertir en sí mismo y hacer realidad sus sueños. Así, Franklin conoció al antiguo propietario de Kelly’s Automotive, lo que lo llevó a investigar el área de Deltona. Una vez que vio la propiedad y reconoció inmediatamente su potencial, supo que era el momento de convertir su pasión en su propósito. En 2018, se convirtió en el propietario oficial de Kelly’s Automotive. En pocos años, Franklin expandió el negocio de un equipo de 3 personas a uno de 15 miembros, incluyendo a su hijo, quien también se sumó al taller para aprender y contribuir a su crecimiento.
Durante la pandemia, Franklin se dio cuenta de que había una escasez de repuestos automotrices tanto para talleres como para consumidores. Ante esta necesidad, decidió abrir una tienda de repuestos automotrices al lado de su taller, como una forma de apoyar a la comunidad de Deltona. Franklin, su esposa Yoliana y toda la familia de Kelly’s Automotive trabajaron incansablemente para alcanzar esa meta. Tres años después, lograron hacer realidad otro sueño. Ahora, los clientes pueden comprar repuestos automotrices en su nuevo negocio, Deltona Auto Parts.
La tienda, organizada y moderna, cuenta con un área de ventas al público al frente y un almacén bien surtido en la parte trasera para distribuir repuestos a consumidores residenciales y comerciales. Recientemente, Deltona Auto Parts celebró su ceremonia de inauguración con un corte de cinta. En el evento, compartieron su emoción con la comunidad, familiares y amigos, destacando la importancia de esta expansión para la ciudad que tanto aman.
Franklin y Yoliana están orgullosos de ser miembros activos de la comunidad de Deltona, no solo como dueños de negocios, sino también como participantes en labores de alcance comunitario. Están afiliados a la Cámara de Comercio Hispana de Florida Central, donde Franklin es Tesorero de la Junta Ejecutiva. También, Franklin es Presidente Electo del Club Rotario de Deltona, Debary y Orange City. Participan en numerosos eventos benéficos y disfrutan devolviendo e invirtiendo en la comunidad que los ha acogido con los brazos abiertos. Franklin vive bajo la filosofía de cuidar a quienes te cuidan. Confiado en que 2025 será un año increíble, espera seguir sirviendo a más personas en Deltona, mientras continúa generando un impacto positivo en la comunidad que tanto aprecia.

Franklin Rodríguez, owner of Kelly’s Automotive Deltona, was born into humble beginnings in Puerto Rico. His mother, who played both parental roles in his life, was someone he adored and admired throughout his childhood. Franklin respected her strength as she made countless sacrifices to provide for him, despite living in poverty. His uncle became a role model and a father figure in his life, inspiring Franklin to succeed. He recalls how his uncle took him under his wing, teaching him everything he knew about mechanics at a young age. In fact, Franklin was only 8 years old when he completed his first automotive job alongside his uncle.
Franklin met his wife, Yoliana, during their teenage years. Yoliana was also born in Puerto Rico but spent her first 15 years in New York. After returning to Puerto Rico at age 15, she met Franklin at a baseball game. That day, Franklin not only struck up a conversation with Yoliana—he hit a home run! They fell deeply in love, got married shortly after, and 26 years later, their marriage remains strong, with two amazing children: a daughter and a son, aged 25 and 19. They moved to Ohio and later to Orlando, working hard together to build a life full of love and happiness. Overcoming many obstacles and challenges, they remained steadfast as a family, with God at the center of their lives. Today, their hard work has paid off—they own two businesses in Deltona, where they spend much of their time and proudly call home.
Franklin’s dream of owning his own automotive shop came true after the company he worked for was sold to another in Jacksonville. Shortly after, a trusted friend who knew Franklin’s extensive experience in the automotive industry encouraged him to invest in himself and make his dream a reality. This led Franklin to meet the former owner of Kelly’s Automotive and investigate the Deltona area. Once he saw the property and recognized its potential, he knew it was time to turn his passion into his purpose. In 2018, he officially became the owner of Kelly’s Automotive. In just a few years, Franklin grew the business from a team of 3 to 15 members, including his son, who joined the shop to learn and contribute to its growth.
During the pandemic, Franklin noticed a shortage of automotive parts for both shops and consumers. Recognizing this need, he decided to open an automotive parts store next to his shop as a way to support the Deltona community. Franklin, his wife Yoliana, and the entire Kelly’s Automotive family worked tirelessly toward this goal. Three years later, they achieved another dream: now, customers can purchase automotive parts from their new business, Deltona Auto Parts.
The store, organized and modern, features a public sales area at the front and a well-stocked warehouse at the back for distributing parts to residential and commercial customers. Recently, Deltona Auto Parts celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. During the event, they shared their excitement with the community, family, and friends, emphasizing the importance of this expansion for the city they love so much.
Franklin and Yoliana are proud to be active members of the Deltona community—not only as business owners but also as participants in outreach efforts. They are affiliated with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida, where Franklin serves as Treasurer of the Executive Board. Franklin is also the President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Deltona, Debary, and Orange City. They participate in numerous charitable events and enjoy giving back and investing in the community that has welcomed them with open arms. Franklin lives by the philosophy of caring for those who care for you. Confident that 2025 will be an incredible year, he looks forward to serving more people in Deltona while continuing to make a positive impact on the community he cherishes so deeply.
